Ok, Brad. Here's the deal: Carson had the fastest turn-around on record after his totaled racecar. So, can you build this thing in time for the start of the season? The pressure's on!

Beautiful car even if it is a Chevy. Will this get in the way of your golf schedule?

Congratulations! It will be good to see you back out there.

That car is so nice that I'm really going to feel bad after I put the first dent in it...but us Mustang drivers just feel the need to break in any new cars!!

Really looks nice Brad!

nice car.

That's a 97, right? or maybe 96. Back when I was looking at getting an LT1 4th gen, it was rare to come across a hard top that was body color as yours is. and if memory serves me, it only came in 96 or 97, and was not the "norm" even for it's year. well, unless it is a B4C car ??

the z28's normally got a black top regardless of body color.

just curious

Oh, boy...just what we need to start off the new year...OK I'll put up a $10,000 cash prize to the first person to guess the year of Brad's new CMC racer...rules...no guessing two years in a post like above...please resubmit choosing only one year....$10,000 will be given to the first post to correctly identify the year of Brad's Camaro...ready, set, go....I guess it's a 97 based on the wheels (of course, they could be replacements) and I guess the car has been repainted, hence the solid color and B4C's were all automatics...OK..start the guessing....who's going to win the big bucks for next year's racing budget?...Richard "what's behind door 97" Pryor

First, thanks for the contest Richard, lots of fun.

Second, you forgot the one entry per household per day. So you're both DQ'd.

Third, I'll use my single guess to say '97. Because I need the writeoff, I'll donate my winnings to charity - the Mustang Motor Rebuilders Fund.

well, I did a bit of research and it appears that body color top was an option on 95-97 if you chose to order it that way.

B4C's didn't come with Z28 badging, so the car is unlikely a B4C, but rather a custom order 6spd hardtop coupe with body color top ..... just the way an enthusiast like me would have ordered it, I believe. I never cared for the black top treatment on the z28.

OK Tony, the checks in the mail....yeah I figured it was a 97 cuz of the wheels...I alsways liked the 97-98 rims...nice and light too...around 19# if I remember right...I spent the $10K on champagne for new year's eve...everyone is invited to stop by and partake...we're having the bash at tony's...invite all your friends...especially if they are 18-23 year old strippers. happy new year all

The wheels are different on the 97's, and so are the tail lights. Yellow turn signals.

And Nick, you're right too, it was an option, but up until that point, only B4C's and 1LE's had body colored roofs and mirrors.

Brad if you are really going to take a perfectly good car and make it better by beating Mustangs, what by chance are you going to do with the front bucket seats? I might be interested! John #44

John, Ive got a really nice complete grey cloth interior that's (obviously) coming out, which should pay for some of the goodies for CMC.

The whole thing is in really good shape, especially the seats (it's got less that 60k on the clock). The seats even have the 30th Anniversary embroidered.

I'll give ya first dibs...

Brad, nice car! I think I like the yellow one in the background better, though. Hope to see you at California Speedway in March!

I always wondered what it looked like behind the dash of a stock Camaro; mine only has 6 wires and nothing else, but then it used to be a SSGT showroom stock car. Where does the extra computer go? and the nitrous bottle?
