KPlum
Kyle here, and last night on ESPN news, i read that Nascar has banned the huchens(or however you spell it) device from all of their series. With this, it makes the Hans device the only head and neck restraint system approved for racing. I just thought you guys would like to know. Lady in Nomex
Interesting! Did they say why?
cmc38camaro
SFI started certifying head/neck restraint system late in 2004. The HANS passed and apparently the Hutchens did not. SFI is listing a second certified device called the R3 from the inventor of the Hutchens. Here's a link. ToTheLimit
Back to an old subject. I am seriously thinking about buying a head and neck support system and like to see what kind of feedback any of you using one may have. I really would like to get a HANS but they are still expensive. Any input is appreciated
alexands
Check out the ISAAC system at http://www.isaacdirect.com/. I know several club racers who use this and swear by it. From everything I've seen it's as safe, if not more, than HANS. THe best part is it's less expensive and you can rent one before you buy it.
