ToTheLimit
I just looked at the Entry list for Daytona 24-hrs and found that our EX-CMC Champ Jonathan Bomarito will be co-driving the #19 Daytona Prototype! Good luck to him. This just shows that CMC is a great step to higher levels of racing.
Richard Pryor1548534703
And Don Campbell went SPEED GT RACING and now NASCAR (he was always good in the corners), Jeff Trask found God, Nick Littleton kicked SCCA National A Sedan butt and Tony Guaglione, well, he's all wet (new swimming pool)...What will the 2005 Champion do? Guest
well not quite like I will be racing but I am going down to Daytona for the 24-hr race to be tire changer/spotter for the #06 Bernheim Racing GT3Cup Porsche in the GT class. ToTheLimit
Well , back from Daytona. Professional racing is so glamorous, like they make you stay up 37-hrs without sleep. A total of 15-hrs of sleep in 4 days...And then engine blows up with 4-hrs to go while running in 29-th overall. And Bomaritos DP team blew up as well. Nice to back to work to get some rest
Tony G
I think you and everyone else reading this will realize how good we have it with CMC. I always say the "fun factor" is what I strive for. In Pro Racing ( I used to be in Pro offshore racing),the fun factor only exist if you win,but then again the pressure to win takes all the fun out of it..not to mention the huge cost...just ask anyone who has done so. I'll stick with CMC until I find something better..but I know I won't! Cheap close racing..oh yeah!! Tony Guaglione
ToTheLimit
Tony You are right on. The close racing and "fun factor" in CMC is just unbelivable. I have been fortunate enough to having worked with Pro teams at many occations and it is a great learning experience but it becomes more of a business to race and the money they spend is just rediculous. And I have to say, CMC racing is more fun to watch than most Pro racing anyway.
tacovini
Ditto on the cheap racing nod in CMC! I see what some pay to rent a ride in a pro series 3 hour race and know that I could race 2 or 3 SEASONS in CMC for that! Back onto the subject... ...what happened to Jonathan's DP? Looks like they went for 9th to 49th very early in the race. Did you see/talk to him, Per? Last question...what is the current fate of the ex-Trask, ex-Bomarito Mustang??? Are we going to see that car turn up in Texas this year too??? -=- Todd
Tony G
I believe Don sold Jeffs Mustang to someone in the southeast, and Bomarito still had his Mustang a while ago,but I'm not sure if he still does. Tony
tacovini
Yes...Don sold Jeff's car to someone in the Southeast and that person sold it to Corey Reuth here in Texas. Now the "Musturd" will be running here in 2005. (He's gonna kill me for constantly referring to it as the Musturd. Since Jonathan is on to bigger and "better" things I'd like to import this car...http://www.maximummotorsports.com/cmc.asp to Texas as well. Before long I'll have a "Days of Yore'" reunion down here and it'll feel like the 90's all over again!!! (Another related announcement coming soon.) Any of the other CMC pioneers wanna join us in Texas??? LaPlante? Guaglione? Ducharme? Donahoe? Jeff Trask? Don Trask? Stowell? Kincy? Bergman? Pryor? Steel? Pfaff? others?????? Guest
Todd, The Yellow 86 Mustang was sold to the nasa director for the southeast region then I think sold to someone one in Texas. Don Trask
