alexands Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I've decided to do CMC and build a 3rd gen Camaro. I never realized how difficult it is to find a 305 TPI, 5 speed with no T-Tops. I don't mind buying an RS TBI and adding TPI as I'm going to rebuild the engine anyways. But finding something without T-Tops seems difficult. What do other 3rd gen drivers do? Anyone have a t-top cars they run? Does anyone make t-top replacements that aren't glass? Not sure I want to run with no tops. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Scott Quote
bsim Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Greg Righetti runs without t-tops. Greg Robinosn has sheet aluminum covering his. Heck, Todd Covini runs a convertible. Either way (leaving them off or covering them) will be fine - it depends on what you want! Quote
Kevin Hall Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 We just now got the rebuild on our TBI street car sorted out. I'd suggest staying away from the swap unless you can get all the computer bits and know how to sort them out to make it run happy. Now, if you yank all that out and stuff a good ole Holley carb and mid 70's HEI, you can avoid all the computer problems. Kevin Hall #82 Camaro Quote
