tacovini Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Inquiring minds want to know! Who was the "special guest star" Saturday nite? Don't leave the rest of us hanging. Pictures??? Quote
Richard Pryor1548534703 Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Todd, I am waiting for word too but I'm willing to bet we'll hear of grenading Ford engines and Chevy victories...how else could it be otherwise? You know that in Webster's the definition of an eternal optimist is a Mustang driver. (it's the same definition for masochist) Quote
bsim Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 (edited) Be nice Richard, I know of only one Ford motor lost this weekend, and only a few more with oiling 'issues'. I wish I got a picture of Brett's oil cap/turban. Priceless. Another interesting feature was 40 minute races. Saturday AM practice was fogged-out. Slow-speed behind a pacecar was the only way to go out. Saturday's race was (I believe) Trask/Griffith/Ryan Flaherty. I found out that a stock suspensioned Camaro won't win (with me driving anyway), but a solid mid-pack finish is probable. Sunday's Qual/Race was an inverted start based on Saturday's times, I'm not sure who placed. I know of quite a few guys that lost brakes by Sunday - seriously, mine were so gone, they wouldn't hold the car on the trailer when we were done! I'll have pics up soon... Sunday Race 3 was Griffith/Brady Flaherty/Perry Kincy. Edited March 15, 2005 by Guest Quote
King Matt1548534716 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I'll assume Ryan Flaherty was the "guest" driver. Whose car was he driving? Quote
Guest Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 It sounds like Jeff Trask was there in a CMC car and Dave Royce was there in an AI car. Sounds like the good 'ole days all over again. I tell you it was surreal out there in Texas with the Musturd and other old Norcal cars. I kept waiting to see Ben Pfaff in the paddock. Quote

Tony G Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Correct: Guest was Jeff Trask who won the first race. Dave Royce was in the A/I car. Complete Race Report comes out tomorrow. What a blast we had with NO INCIDENTS at all..NONE....and that with 20 plus CMC cars. We all need to get together some day soon...as in CMC runoffs.. Tony Guaglione Quote
Guest Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Great to hear Jeff get back into a seat again. I assume he drove Dad's Camaro? I also heard Dave Royce was taking the wheel of the MM AI car this weekend, how'd he do? Good to see the old bunch back out there! Adam has got some pics of the Musturd battling the Swindle machine here in Texas...pretty soon we'll have the old Righetti & Covini cars battling again. Texas and Calif. race reports should be out soon... -=- Todd Quote
Adam Ginsberg Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 We all need to get together some day soon...as in CMC runoffs.. Agreed. So, what's the date for a national CMC runoff?? Quote
