NightWulf
ok heres the dilemma. would a factory tpi 305 cam work with a holley carb? and if so would the heads have to be changed a little from the tpi setup to accomodate the carb? is there really a difference in the eddelbrock cam and hte tpi cam? and how many cams can a cam man cam if a cam man can cam cans? so basically what would the engine run like with a carb and a factory 305 tpi cam? for the 91 firetird? Lady in Nomex
I don't know what the stock cam would run like with the spec Holley carb. From personal experience, I found out that if you run any of the spec package, that is, the Holley carb, Edelbrock Performer intake and matching cam, you have to run the whole spec package and not just part of it to be legal. When I first ran CMC I had the original Q-jet carb on top of the Holley carb, Performer intake and matching cam. I found out the Q-jet does not like road racin', and it was also illegal. Bye bye Q-jet! This spec package works well.
NightWulf
now would the heads have to be redone to accomodate for the difference in the cam and carb and intake and all the other stuff? cause they would be setup for a tpi.
