Ah I see, What if we only wanted to particiate in 1 of the 2 events in a pair? Would the car be securely stored during the event in which we did not participate?

Mark B

Mark:

Yes.

However, our aim would be to make it possible for you to enter both events on the other coast.

An offer to help : In Washington (west coast one) I have a 3000 sqft shop, 3 hoists, welder, tubing benders, tools and so on. I have room for several cars and service rigs to store outside. Any traveling NASA teams are welcome to the facilities , 20 minutes from Olympia. Gene

The most basic question has not been answered yet.

How much $$?

The most basic question has not been answered yet.

How much $$?

That "basic" question will be the last one to be answered:

- When we know how many teams have serious interest in the transportation plan

- Among those who are seriously interested, which specific trips /

specific events they are contemplaiting

- When we know whether we can fill a transporter to capacity or not

So you guys, help us to figure this out.

This thread is pretty funny!

"we have a transport plan."

"how much will it cost?"

"how many are going?"

"how much will it cost, then we'll tell you."

"how many are going, then we'll tell you."

"ok, but how much will it cost, then we'll tell you."

"ok, but how many are going, then we'll tell you."

"no, first you tell us, how much will it cost, then we'll tell you if we're going."

"no, first you tell us, how many are going, then we'll tell you how much it costs."

"we can't tell you till we know how much it cost."

"we can't tell you till we know how many are going."

I called Wilson (as instructed in the first post of this thread). Here's an estimate:

If 8 to 10 vehicles participated, it would be $1000 to $1200 per vehicle, round trip. Possibly may also arrange transport of a small (around 4'x4'x5') crate to hold spares and parts, which may or may not be included in the aforementioned price.

Please do not assume that these numbers scale linearly (that is, if 16 to 20 vehicles participated, do not assume it would be $500 to $600). Why shouldn't you assume that? Because no one said it. Also, don't imagine that these numbers are set in stone, or even accurate within 50%. Also, these numbers are not official numbers or released numbers, I'm (in this case) just some dude that called Wilson. For more details, I would do as the first post instructs, and call Wilson.

I just couldn't stand it anymore!!!

Cheers,

Anders
