Getting a 3rd gen ready

Hi folks! I've been doing a few HPDE's and am currently running in HPDE 2 in NASA-MA. I only drove once last year at VIR and the rest of last year and most of this year is being spent on a U. S. Veterans long range rifle team. The world championships are in August this year and after that hopefully I can get back to some driving. I've got an '88 Trans Am GTA that I've been using. I've taken most of the interior out and replaced the seats with a couple of Corbeau seats and installed a roll bar with supports all from 1 3/4 x .120 wall DOM tubing. I need to finish the roll cage. I'm using Hawk "blue" front brake pads and have a set of BFG G-force radials. Almost everything else is stock. I'd like to get the suspension up to snuff before I begin any work on the engine (which has a lot of miles) and just have everything CMC ready maybe for 2008. My question is where to begin on the suspension. New shocks? Springs? Panhard bar? Steering is a bit sloppy. Underdrive pulley system to eliminate AC and smog pump? Where would you guys start? Thanks in anvance.

Gunny,

Safety stuff first. Finish the cage.

Follow the CCR.

Seat time/ licence.

Toyos.

Other crap will fall into place.

Good luck,

jb
