East Coast CMC'ers?

We're on the east coast.

I check in from time to time to see what is shaking.......um... with the west coast and texas regions...

We have results to post from our first race at VIR. Race 2 is just around the corner the end of this month again at VIR... I am assuming that a report is in the works.

We have a few new drivers joining us this year (like thread starter MCM, above) and a few more in the "pipeline" so to speak. I had my best weekend to date with a 4th/3rd result garnering the number 3 spot in the points chase. There are several drivers in the field that can easily snatch the position away from me, so I will be looking for another stellar performance in Race 2 .

I am getting a picture together for the driver profile section.

That is all for now...

I don't know if Western PA is quite east cost but I might be running the NASA NE events at BeaveRun (May) and Watkins Glen (Oct) assuming I can get enough time off work to make it to them.

I know you are, but I was wondering where all the others were. No one else really posts up here. I was beginning to think that this was a West Coast/Texas Forum.

I was being sarcastic.

I have asked the same question before and just let it go. We have a bunch of new drivers coming up through the ranks that will possibly be more php friendly.

Kent posts from time to time.

See you at VIR? Is Special K coming?

Keith. Still have your video fwiw, and I am thinking the same thing. Please check out the NE forum at NASA forums.

You coming to summit this year?

Mike, I was being sarcastic.

AICMCTexas.com is nice, but as any Texan knows, we always need more room to roam. you have to be a registered and approved user to see all the forums where we talk crap about the other regions.

there are not many of us Texas guys over here. its those Kalyforya guys who act as if they own the place.

The video is yours. Merry Christmas.

I don't know what I will be doing this year. I have been working 60-70 hour weeks and have had a bunch of crap come up that has prevented me from even looking at the race car. In fact, I've only had a couple of hours on it since Nationals...

It seems this site is infested with West Coast and Texas Region racers.

Don't feel bad, if you search back far enough, you'll see how the texas kids complained this was all west coast. They went out and created their own site. I guess they don't want to play in our sandbox.

Give it time - they'll come!

What ?

you must be thinking of some other secret society. Surely you dont mean I would suggest such a thing?

You guys are far too respectable for anything like that.

Perhaps my light hearted comment was taken WAY out of context.

I am hoping so....and the joke is on me.

some things are just not cool to say. a blanket statement to insinuate a person is racist only because they are from the south (Texas) is just wrong.

I don’t tolerate comments like this and more so when they are directed @ me. it strikes closer to home than you may think w/ my Hispanic wife of 10 years, my two girls who are half Hispanic and my wonderful family of Hispanic in-laws. joking is one thing, and I can take a joke just as good as the next guy, as long as the subject is about something about myself that can change or something I chose to do. my wife did not choose to be Hispanic, nor did my kids.

once again, you crossed the line. and once given the chance to correct your error, you choose to say "what, cant take a joke?". dig a little deeper w/ your next comment why don’t you.

Glenn and everyone. First and foremost. I did not mean anything bad at all. No blanket statement intended. No insinuations implied AT ALL.

NEVER would I insult anyone here or anywhere else for that matter. Not intentionally or accidentally for that matter.

My secondary statement was not meant as "cant take a joke". Far from it.

I was only asking if you were seriously insulted. I couldnt tell. I then figured that perhaps You were not, and that the joke was on me for thinking you were.

I really couldnt imagine that with all the ribbing that goes on here that my off the cuff comment would be taken so badly. I deeply apologize. I dont ever make any of this personal and would NEVER make slanderous remarks about someone's family. I hold my own family in high regard and give everyone else the same respect until they prove otherwise.

Everyone here behaves in a postive manner and screws around from time to time. Had I thought this would happen I wouldnt have joked around at all. This is just not a good example of who I am or how I wish to be seen.

I hope we can just forget this happened. honestly.

problem is it wasn't just me. Jeff Burch saw it too and thought the same way. I also ran it past my wife before I commented on it, and she saw it the same way.

i'll just leave it alone now. and we can move on.

Well you KNOW that wasn't me. If they were mine, I wouldn't have bothered to bury 'em!

I know you were being sarcastic, sarcasm is my middle name.

I will be at VIR on Saturday for a Kart Enduro only. Gotta put the rest of my funds into the project car.

BTW, Special K is with me where ever I go. hiding.gif

"Kalyforya guys acting as if they own the place" ...... Now that's offensive!

I agree.

Uncalled for.

...and it wasn't just me. I talked to Al Fernandez and he was equally offended.
