Tony G
Ok so this may be a little more about the West Coast then the rest, but I have very important subject that I would like to discuss and maybe spread across the rest of the regions. I have heard in the past " gee why come to the race track if I know I can't win because so and so has so much horsepower". Well I am making it my reason and place to be here for you so this will never happen. If there is one thing I can't stand its someone who thinks they can out smart the next guy by not playing on the level playing field we have created for you. You can be assured that anyone can and will at anytime win a race in CMC. If I see cars blow by others down the straights then welcome to my world of me taking your car apart and right to the dyno at the very least, so don't even try to out smart the CMC officials, because if we do catch you then read the rules and I will throw the book at who ever dares to cross the line. I'm here to protect you all, and fair is fair. I have seen 1 or 2 competitors in the past screw everything up for the "other" 25 before, and I won't let that happen here. So in closing, get ready for a new CMC to be watched much closer than it has, and I take the blame for letting it go to long and I apologize to you for that. I love what we all do here, and I promise to make it even better than it has been. Thank You, Tony Guaglione CMC National Director [email protected] CMC #
Keith
Efforts to get a dyno at your events is time well-spent. Trust me. Make sure (as I have personally in the past) that it is financially worthwhile for the dyno operator be there. Things seem take care of themselves once a dyno is at virtually all events. In our region, it is not unheard of to have most/all of a class report to impound for dyno to make sure that he makes money.
Aaron Bambach
The flip side to "Why come out if the other guys have all this HP" is that at most tracks you can still out drive the HP guys if you can wheel it, my black #20 never went more that 213 on the dyno all season and against a host of 230 cars at nats and I still had some great races at the front. King Matt1548534716
That's for sure true. It will be fun to watch you guys battle it out in AI this year. I hope you have a clause in your agreement that if the guy you are renting the car from rubs YOUR fender, he has to fix it himself.
gold chains and oakleys
There has to be benefits of being a National Director, but this must be the downside, and I know everyone appreciates you making CMC fair as possible.
Keith
The flip side to "Why come out if the other guys have all this HP" is that at most tracks you can still out drive the HP guys if you can wheel it, my black #20 never went more that 213 on the dyno all season and against a host of 230 cars at nats and I still had some great races at the front. Aaron After you delivered a whooping to me last year at a race, I was in impound watching your car on the dyno pull a monstrous 190rwhp. I have 238rwhp. Tony G
Thanks for the comments you guys. Great to hear from you Aaron! One thing we are forgetting..would you like to run against cars with 245-250+ HP or more? My intent is to make the playing field 100% legal and even across the board. Thanks, Tony Guaglione
King Matt1548534716
The real problem with horsepower isn't so much when the slow guys have more than the fast guys, but when the fast guys have more than the slow guys.

Aaron ...being one of those "230 guys", I'll agree with you Aaron...it was a blast swapping positions multiple times at the Big Show last year. Maybe if I can drive a little smoother this year at M-O, I might be able to stay in front of you this time! -=- Todd
Aaron Bambach
I don't know Todd, my car at nats this year will probably have around 330 at the wheels, but if you weave back and forth enough you probably could stay in front of me - A great opportunity to drive AI came about and I took it, see U at Nats. tacovini
WooHoo!!! One more front-marker to not have to worry about in CMC!!! Congrats on the new ride and see you there. (sorry for the hi-jack, Tony...I support what you're doing too. It's good to see a little bit-o-drama in CMC regions other than Texas!!! )
