Carson
some of the west coaster remember that my engine expired on track at cal-speedway ,during the first lap of qualifing. this was after only two race weekends, the previous year, on a fresh rebuild.. My engine builder sent the pieces , that were picked up off the track (ventilated the block) to ARP's lab in LA for analysis. The results came back . When replacing the OEM connecting rod bolts with ARP fastners the rod caps need to be "spot faced" apparently, the ARP bolts have a slightly different face on the bolt head and they allowed the cap on #1 rod to work loose fortunatly the machine shop and my engine builder are both standing behind their work and have been very agreeable with making it right hopefully this little tid bit will save others the disapointment and cost of a rebuild
AThomas
Carson, It's good to hear that they are standing by their work. I've been meaning to call you about my 305, but my wacky work schedule and a 3 hr time difference doesn't make calling during reasonable hours very easy. I'll try to get in touch later this week if I can. Adam
