Keith
Yeah I noticed that. I hope it's a race and not drifting or something. Redline TV makes me nervous when it comes to what they cover...
jeffburch
Naaa, drifting is cool. Kinda like dirt track but on asphalt and the participants know what a dentist is. jb
Keith
I am ambivalent about drifting. I'd just hate to see NASA's early TV coverage be for such a lowly-subscribed option within NASA. I fell asleep - what was it?
comeback kid
It touched primarily on HPDE and the Honda Challenge Series. Ryan "Lost Duke Boy" Flaherty was interviewed, and he touched on what NASA has to offer. Redline interviewed a couple of competitors also. If you are wondering about the "Lost Duke Boy", I was at Buttonwillow for the October 19th (2001) weekend and during the race Ryan went 4 wheels off, driver's right and launched himself off of Space Mountain. I also call him "rocket Man" because of the launching pad. Anyways, I believe the AI website (might have been the NASA Pro site), had a video highlights of the weekend. "The Launch" was a part of the video with the General Lee's Horn blast edited in. So since then I personally added "The Lost Duke Boy". mcolangelo2005
I think you mean "Magic Mountain", not Space Mountain. Still, that's pretty funny!
comeback kid
I think you mean "Magic Mountain", not Space Mountain. Still, that's pretty funny! You are probably correct. A few years and a few beers since then.
