Great weekend everyone!

High lights:

Doug Clements gets his License signed off..a real racer now.

New guys: Ron De Blauw ran all weekend in group 4 and goes into the 2:14's and gets his provisional.

Also new guys Mike and Gorden Oliver show up and will be running a brand new 2008 Mustang GT in CMC2 starting next year, and they are great guys and we had fun meeting them this weekend.

Nick Steel and Mike Plum get wins in CMC, and Tony Guaglione gets the CMC2 wins.

Kyle Plum loses all bets with Tony as to see who will win, Ford or Chevy, he now has to wax my Mustang at the next event.

Nick Steel captures the 2008 Championship, great job Nick!!!

Fastest times in CMC2 were in the 2:10's, and 2:11's in CMC.

Nice awards dinner and fun Saturday night.

More to come in the report.

Thanks to all that came out!

Tony Guaglione

I had a great time, nice on Sat, rain for WU and QR, dry for last race.

Here are three combined clips of Sundays race,

First part is the start

Bump drafting Ed when he misses a shift

Then the last half lap chasing Ed to the finish line.

Low res, 5.5 MB

Hig res, 18 MB

On that last half lap, Andy Bowman from AI was right behind us but let us battle since he had no one from his class within a half a lap. Thanks Andy.

That's what I really like the the AI and FFR racers. He knew it was the last lap and didn't want to disrupt us since he had nothing to gain from passing us.

It just held off the inevitable Tony. It just meant I caught you and passed you on lap 4 instead of lap 3...

..till the car started to starve for fuel 2 laps from the end of the race. @#%@#$!!!@#!

The start was a mess to say the least. A standing start was announced in the drivers meeting, it was later changed to a flying start. The problem was that not everyone got the word including the guy on the pole, me. The change was announced over the safety radio, but I missed it. My bad.

wow, your one to talk! Nat's 2007 wasnt that long ago.

That would be "you're one to talk," Glenn. Speaking of which, didn't you go from pole to fourth on the first lap?

Hey Nick,

Please don't check the finger prints on that siphon hose that was left next to your car just before the race .. actually who cares I'm not a felon so my prints are not in the database...so I'm safe

Mike, I can see why you missed it after we talked, but what about the 6 cars between you on the pole and me in 8th? You were not alone Mike!

The inverted start with me on the outside, and Ed sliding around a bit out of turn 1. Also includes some driving by Mike Plum, and a little of my own sliding around. Had a blast!

Sorry about the washed out video, this was my first weekend with this new video setup.

This is my view of the big mess that the afternoon race start was. 3 wide into turn 1!

..and my event that the race director apparently missed while Kyle was handed my provisional license to return to me.
