r k drake
Another 25 has been finished and I sit here amazed at the people that are involved on the Racing for a Reason Mustang Team. As always there are many to thank, Rich and Don from Stockton, John with his great attitude and tireless work, Gary Brantley's unbridled enthusiam and help plus many, many others. The food was great, the racing was hot, and the goal admirable. We are still calculating, but we beleive over 75K was raised for disadvantaged childred as well a spinal injury victims. Racing for a Reason is not a catchy slogan, but a purpose higher than I think any of us ever thought. The many hours in a cold garage are well worth it when you think of the benefits to others Also want to thank Tony G. for stocking the excellent Carbotech brake pads we used when the wrong ones were inadvertantly ordered and we were stuck. The driver line up was superb, CMC has help create some of the fatest, safest and courteus drivers in NASA. no one ever touched another car during 25 hours of hard racing, just superb drivers and control. Brady, Jason, Nick, Chris, and Kirk followed the strategy developed by Brady perfectly, virtually to the lap and keep the car running great. So thank you to all involved for your dedication to a higher purpose. On another note, due to the success of the Factory Five Racing GTM, I will only have time to campaign one car next year and will be selling the Mustang. I will not be publishing a price, I would prefer to make a new member or existing member a very special price in hopes it will contiunue to be campaigned where I can see it run. I will miss the CMC group most of all, you are all without a doubt the best Racers I have ever had the priviledge to drive with. Take care.
