Richard Pryor1548534703
Will this be perfect or what? from www.autoextremist.com great site to visit every wednesday: It wasn't really big news or all that unexpected, but GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz revealed to Automotive News at the New York show that GM is contemplating putting the 2.0-liter, direct-injected, turbocharged, 260HP four-cylinder engine from the Pontiac Solstice GXP (and Sky Redline) into the 2009 Camaro as a standard engine package - if gas prices continue to spiral upward. GM will sell all of the V8-powered Camaros they can build to old-school enthusiasts, but if Camaro is going to be able to sustain itself in the market for the longer term, then the 4- and 6-cylinder versions will be the ones that have to deliver the kind of all-around goodness needed for the Camaro to succeed. King Matt1548534716
GM goes back to the future! Remember when you could get an Iron Duke in a 3rd Gen?

AllZWay
GM goes back to the future! Remember when you could get an Iron Duke in a 3rd Gen? A buddy of mine in high school got one of these Firebirds in '82 with that HP monster.
Lady in Nomex
I had a Chevy Monza with an Iron duke. As for the performance 5th gen Camaros, a little bird told me Mark Stielow is in charge. If you follow GM you know that is the best news possible, and also the details I have been told I cannot share with you- everyone will be pleased with the performance versions. Members Al F.
Apparently no one reads history books: Ford makes ho-hum performing super cool looking car and sells every copy. There are practically riots when Ford says they're thinking of discontinuing it. GM makes technically superior, substantially better performing but pig ass ugly and just plain weird car and cant give them away. Fast forward 1.5 decades. Repeat. I want to know when it'll be the Camaro-Mustang-Challenger Challenge!!!
bsim
Why is it that every cute sorority blonde bimbo wants a Mustang, and every chunky, big haired, blue eye shadowed chick wants a Camaro? Julie excepted of course, but them's what I see...

King Matt1548534716
I hear the new Camaros are going to come from the dealership with four cinder blocks in the trunk. They figure it will save the fourth owner a few extra bucks.

Well Brad you finally figuered out why I switched to Mustangs about 5 years ago...its because the chicks ( only the hot ones) go for the blue oval and when I'm standing on the podium you now know why they flock to the Mustang drivers (among other reasons that I cant say here) Tony Guaglione
