Hallett - June

So I saw the nice smack talk in Grassroots MotorSports..... Texas *may* have taken all the trophies last year, but RM is bringing an army this year.

Who's going to Hallett in June?

Good ... we need someone to clean up after we all leave.

Damn that IS funny . Not only do you come to Colorado and beat up on my drivers, you've got a sharp tongue. No Fancy Feast for you!!!!

last year we had 16. it was a light turnout for us, plus we had almost no new drivers. this year we have a bumper crop of rook's as well as most of our veteran crew.

the RM guys should be bringing a nice herd as well. this could easily be the CMC Mini-Nats based on car count alone.

Maybe CMC1 can get its own run group!!! That would be cool, no CMC2 cars to get in the way.

Oh and beware of the two fastest CMC1 Fox drivers in the country, both from Texas.

I am about 85% sure I am going to make this event. Never been to Hallet and dont know may way around. I will literally be coming down by myself, no crew, just me. Is there camping / showers at the track? Or is it best to get a hotel room.

great news Bob.

best bet is to sleep at the track as the nearest hotel is like 30 miles (Sand Springs?). most all of us crash in our trailers. there will be plenty of room if you want to snag some floor space. the weather is normaly cooler there than here in DFW, so it makes for some nice camping weather.

showers???? well yes, 2. but be prepaired and bring some shower shoes. one of the two is an outside shower.

also, this is a really fun group who runs this track. you will have a blast. any chance you can bring Matt King or your 3rd gen twin?

Damn it! We're racing at Blackhawk that weekend or I'd hitch a ride with Bob. 30 cars will be absolutely nuts.

I had more written for the boys to pring in GRM, but they edited my submission for political correctness

This is going to be a crazy weekend. You guys on the right and wrong coasts should really consider coming out! We're going to have a HUGE field of AI and CMC cars on a relatively short track. And with nowhere to go at night, the bbq is going to be awesome!

There is a good chance that at least (2) CMC1 cars from the Midwest Region will be coming. Bob (67) has already committed and I'm close. If everything goes well this weekend at Putnum then I'll be making the run down (over?) with Bob.

This weekend has the potential to have twice to three times as many CMC cars as nationals did last year.

It should be a very fun weekend.

I'm going to put the pressure on ya James. You need to be faster than CMC in Qual so we don't have to start behind that beehive.

I've never made this event and can't wait!!!

Here's your dark horse for Hallett....the newest, fastest CMC Texan there is!!!

(i.e.- you'll need to get past the 2007 & 2008 National CMC Champion to beat this guy. )

-=- Todd

PS- 2009 National CMC Champion??? Only those at Hallett will know....
