Saturday at RA was rain rain rain some fog and more rain.

Qualifying Saturday:

Bryan White had a flawless wet qualifying session and made no mistakes putting him on the pole. Bob Denton's fuel filter plugged during qualifying but started the session putting him in second. New fuel cell may have been a contributing factor At the time it was thought to be low fuel so only gas was added. Sidney 's trans stuck in third as soon as he went out and missed the session putting him in third.

Race 1

At the start Bob Denton's car started stumbling after turn 1 sending him to the pits. (dirt in the carb and fuel filter). Sidney's Franklins car stuck in third again but Sidney hung on using only third gear. This was possible with the slower speeds on a very damp track. Bryan White run a very smooth rain race and won, with Sidney in second and Bob getting third. All racers narrowly missed a huge mess on the start when Rusty Furguson, he went 2 wheels off on the start and spun at least twice right under the flag station narrowly missing several cars. There was NO body contact and Rusty went on to win the AI race.

Race 2

The second race had the same starting order, but we were finally able to have a race. Bob passed Bryan going into 3 as Bryan tried the dry line resulting in a wheel hop issue. Bryan was able to stay with Bob for a couple laps but Bob checked out and Sidney caught up to Bryan. Sidney made a couple attempts at passing until his trans stuck in third gear again, then Sidney fell off. Results Bob won, Bryan second and Sidney third.

Qualifying:

Sunday no CMC cars went out for practice and Sidney called it a day deciding to not run because his transmission kept sticking in third gear. Bob and Bryan went out for qualifying Bob got the pole with a 3:14 , Bryan was second with a 3:27.

Race 3.

The conditions where no better on day two with rain, heavy at times and 45° temps. As the day went on the track kept getting worse and worse. For the race the start was waived off the first time because one car died on the back stretch. Bob pulled away for the first couple laps, then Bryan was able to catch up to Bob and chase him for the remainder of the race. We had a couple very tense moments coming into 5 after a mustang oiled down the track.. The carosel and the kink were real slippery where both Bob and Bryan were sideways a few times through the kink. At the exit of the kink was the scariest part, the car would kick sideways at the exit. Bryan could not get enough traction off of the corners to make any moves on Bob. Bob could not get any traction as well so he could not pull any sort of lead. Under very slippery conditions Bob won with a fast lap of 3:18 to Bryan Whites faster lap of 3:17. Even with the deplorable conditions it was a blast and made it worth staying there the whole day as our session was second to last of the day.
