CMC#11
I got hit by a backmarker AI car at Hallett (while I was leading the race) and got a chunk taken out of my LR tire. There is the smallest possible amount of cord showing, I don't think you can even see it in the pictures. If I run the tire I would run it be on the back with the chunk on the inside. What are your thoughts and would you run it? My other option is to run an 888 instead (I have no clue how that would feel), or buy a new RA1 for the last 2 events of the year. Tony G
Michael, Ok repost..I looked a little closer at the pics. I would run that tire no problem on the back inside like you said. The RA1's can take a ton of abuse and I've seen tires way worse than that make it through races with no problems. I had a way worse deep chunk that I ran for quite a while with no issues..ran the tread out before I had any problem with it..just kept my eye on it. Just my opinion. CMC#11
Thanks to all that voted!! I am going to flip the tire and run it on the back and keep a close eye on it.
