RichV
Is it considered a OEM replacement? IE is it legal for CMC1?

RichV
Ask before you buy right? No problem. Just planning on replacing both sides so I figured I'd ask.
BADVENM
You aint gonna get by me next year no matter what you do!
RichV
You aint gonna get by me next year no matter what you do! So you're planning on runnin' in the front huh? Of course you better take off that 2 and loose a few ponies first.
BADVENM
If you would have shown up you would have seen the "2" was removed Even with a few more ponies I was still in jeopardy of running last. With the margin between 5 CMC cars a second or less (PPIR) next year promises to be the best yet! Now we just need all of our cars to show up at once and consistently. Restrictor plates are on the list of things to do this off season. Scott and I replaced our ball joints earlier this year...got them at Autozone I think. One of those "since we're already this deep into the suspension upgrades types of deals".
CMC#11
David, less timing should take care of the majority of your power and bring you close to the 230 limit. I run mine at 10 degrees and a fair amount of fuel to get right at the 230 hp number. My torque took a hit going into the low 270's but it didn't matter much in regards to on track speed. FWIW, my motor changing from 10 degrees to 14 was about a 12 hp increase. I'd adjust timing and fuel pressure before playing with restrictor plates. We were gonna bring the timing down on the dyno a week before Nats but the tape with the degree markings started coming off. Who would have thought that we'd gain 7 rwhp and 20 rwtq by removing the open K&N cone filter and put the stock airbox and slightly used Fram air filter back in.
