Bryon Doss Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hello all. Bryon here from the great state of Indiana. or so i've been told !I have a few questions for a possible future cmc racer. Please be gentle!! What is a crossover race? Any chance of racing at the new track in Kentucky? How many racers are in the midwest / greatlakes area there? Is there a dyno done at the track or do you have to go to a shop? What is the cost to enter a race in the mid west/ greatlakes? Prize money or is it points only? I'll have more questions later!! Thanks for your help, Bryon / Quote
KiMifan Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 1. Crossovers are when two NASA regions schedule events together at the same track. 2. The Bluegrass track was on the schedule last year, but was cancelled because the track is not yet finished. When/if it opens, I'm sure it will eventually host NASA races. 3. There is a recent thread discussing this if you search. 4. Sometimes there is a portable dyno at the track for compliance purposes, but you can and should have your car dynoed prior to an event to get your certitifed dyno sheet required per the rules. 5. Varies by event and region, but typically in the $300-400 range for a two-day entry. 6. There is some cash available (mainly at Nationals) and some contingency programs, but the short answer is you are not racing for money (other than to spend it). Quote
