If you're running a roller cam, the application is from an 85 5.0L five-speed, which will have the correct steel distributor gear to match the cam. Quote

What type of ignition coil can be used when doing the carb conversion on a ford? TFI or Canister? Quote
Adam Ginsberg Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 My 85 Fox3 carbed hooptie is using a stock 85 coil that looks like the 86+ EFI coils. Walk into AutoZone/Kragen/etc and ask for a stock 85 coil to go with the 85 Duraspark distributor, and the 85 Duraspark box. Simple, effective, and very inexpensive. Quote
