Al F. 1 Posted September 30, 2018 Rule reference 6.29.2 Recommended Revised Wording: Delete this altogether.
ls168camaro 0 Posted October 3, 2018 If it isn't deleted I would suggest allowing the Ford 8.8" reared. It's already legal for the Fords and it's available as a bolt in for F-body. 6.29.2 Both GM and Ford cars may also use a Ford 9”, GM 12 bolt, or Dana 44 rear axle housing, but the housing must maintain both the exact OEM suspension pickup points and OEM rear end geometry as the originally equipped axle assembly. D Algozine 0 Posted October 10, 2018 I have a 9" in my 4th gen. and I just installed new gears a couple weeks ago. I absolutely , do not want to have to go buy all new stuff. What is the reason for eliminating 6.29.2 ?
Al F. 1 Posted October 12, 2018 I think it’s because that stands out as this ultra rare ultra expensive option that flies in the face of multiple other rules that limit how much money you can spend. Anyway worry not. If this gets eliminated, existing cars would be grandfathered.
