Duane Black
I’ve got the standard chatterbox 2. I discovered in a loud car at high speeds it just doesnt cut it. It starts picking up interference and works again at slow speeds, plus, there’s always the “reliability” of the headsets. My tango partner in instructor clinic had a speedcom but ut seemed worse in his gutted and caged e30 than a chatterbox. So it looks like the alternative is a series of bluetooth systems? I’ve found threads on this but they’re old so I was if any great new tips have emerged since 2016
National Staff Marie A. Posted February 18, 2019 National Staff Share Posted February 18, 2019 @TXvsLV Scott Adams would likely have a lot of answers on this topic. I'll have him reach out to you.
National Staff Brett B. Posted April 16, 2019 National Staff Share Posted April 16, 2019 I used the Chatterbox systems a lot in HPDE and it seemed fine. Maybe your car is louder than mine. There's a Bluetooth system recommended a lot in motorcycle circles. It's called a Sena. https://www.sena.com/
Duane Black
I actually bit the bullet and got a speedcom - now I’m waiting for the Snell 2020 standard to come out and get a Roux helmet! the speedcom seems very sensitive to where it is on your ear. A little movement in any direction can alter what you hear. I still carry the chatterbox as a backup
