ledfoot2
I have SPARCO Evo2 racing seat. At the last event I attended, someone mentioned that it was out of date. I could not find any references to FIA dates in the NASA or VVC rules. I don't want to buy a new seat if I don't have too. I think the manufacture date was in 02 or 03. Any ideas? I know that the harnesses have to be current, but what is the rulling on seats?
TexaST-1
Look in the NASA CCRs on line for a date. I don't think there is one but am not sure.
ledfoot2
That is the first thing that I did. I did not see a date, so I assumed it was OK, but we know how that can go.
TexaST-1
I would say then your OK! I was also unaware of any date exparation for NASA or SCCA. However, I would examine my seat regularly for stress cracks. Most covers wear out and look unattractive before the seat goes.
ledfoot2
That's what I figured. The cage is almost done on the car and the coolers are going on as soon as I get them. Lets get this class going! Let me know about the other makes so I can talk to the PCA and SCCA guys down here.
