What class is my car

1999 Ford zx2sr now runs in SCCA ITA class.  What class would it compete in?  Looking to run more than three races at MidOhio next year.

Check the power-to weight ratios in the Super Touring to be sure, but if it's stock it should be an ST5 or ST6 car. The ratios are in the first third of the rules, easy to find.

If the motor makes more power than stock, it might be an ST4 car.

ST6 car.

143ish hp from the factory, and I believe had a 7200rpm limiter which helps from an average hp perspective.  A random guess would say it averages around 125hp with maybe 132hp at the wheels...totally a guess.

Either way, ITA min weight is 2355lbs I believe, so keeping it in ITA form, it could run 135hp average(probably 142ish peak hp) at 2355lbs, which is favorable being a strut based car.  Of course if it made more avg hp, it would be no biggie and you could just lightly ballast it up, or heavily ballast it up if you wanted a lot more power.  You would just have to look at the aero and make sure it is base trim model aero, unless you didn't want to bother to take the 0.4 modifier to your advantage for BTM aero.  There should be plenty of options in ST6 to keep it interchangeable between ST6 and ITA.
