I'm building an NB Spec Miata, so my first car that got me into racing is now for sale.

Summary
1991 Mazda Miata built for Spec Miata racing. 12 hours on newly rebuilt engine and clutch. Spec Miata Bilstein/Eibach suspension. 99K miles on chassis. OMP steering wheel with NRG quick release hub. Kirkey seat. Schroth harness (expires 2021). Clean Title.

Acquired March 2018 from Alive Motorsports. Previously used in SCCA/NASA Spec Miata racing. Includes NASA Log Book. Refreshed all fluids in April 2018 along with new wheel bearings, coolant, etc. Flushed and replaced all fluids again in Jan 2019.

Car is setup for a 155lbs, 5’8” driver with -3 front camber. Ballast included to meet minimum spec-class weight requirements.

Great starter car for someone new to tracking/racing or someone interested in racing SVRA/SCCA/NASA.

Asking Price: $7,800.
Depending on the offer, I may include the wired AMB transponder which DOESN’T require a subscription, like the newer models do.

Random Info:

  1. Given the age of the car, the car can be raced with SVRA (Sportscar Vintage Racing Association).
  2. John Doonan, (former director of the Mazda factory racing program and now IMSA President), rented the car from Alive Motorsports to provide rides to the president/owner of SVRA several years back.
