Jakster
I see alot of wheels on the WWW sold as racing wheels so what makes them racing and what makes a good wheel. I bought some Momo Corse wheels they seem to be very good wheels but are they OK for the track. I also bought Toyo tires the HPZ are they DOT rated and how do I tell. Jake racing wheels are lighter weight, but stong enough to withstand abuse--usually forged aluminum is the best because they won't bend (they will crack if they take too much stress though). Also, they need to fit over a big brake kit, and need to be wide enough to handle whatever size race tires that one is using. All street legal tires are DOT rated (that's what makes them stree legal). The tires you bought will be a good tire to start on. You can move to R-compounds for your next set as you gain more experience and skill.
