Still pending?  I just got signed off for HPDE 4 this weekend at Chuckwalla.  I've been running Toyo R888r tires.  I don't know what the requirements are and actually need to replace those tires, so trying to figure out which tires to choose, and the contingency may influence that.

Is TOYO 2021 contingency program live yet?

The 2021 Program is not available yet. It is approved and just need to make some final touches to the website. We expect to have it up early next week

Thanks

I’m trying to register for the mcs regional competition contingency program and cannot find spec iron in the drop down box. It shows that it pays for si but it is not an option when filling a registration form. Please advise on how to proceed.

Hello Lance,

Just added the option to the form. You can now register for Spec Iron

I liked the Proxes RR's when I moved into DE4.  Ran them in TT for a while before moving to Hoosier.

  • HPDE 3 to 4 and HPDE to Time Trial awards good towards the purchase of any Proxes branded tire.

There have been sporadic issues. If your claim is on hold from events before the program was up. please DM me and I will take care of it

So, here's some questions for you about how contingencies are selected for a specific race series.

Why does Titan-7 offer a contingency for CMC when they don't produce any wheels in a size and weight that are CMC legal?

I contacted them directly about a 17x9.5" wheel with a Mustang bolt pattern.  The response I got thanked me for my inquiry, stated they don't have what I need, and continued on about them keeping wheel costs low by producing wheels in popular sizes and not offering any custom sizes.

The requirements of the Titan-7 / NASA CMC contingency state their wheels must be used on the car with pictures taken of the car at each of several events with their wheels and stickers on the car.  How am I supposed to do that when there are no wheels in the size I need?  Whoever is coming up with these contingencies needs to do a little more homework before offering a contingency for a product that doesn't actually exist!

To be clear, I did find two 17x9.5 wheels listed on their website with the correct 5x114.3 bolt pattern for the Mustangs, but they are listed under the Honda S2000 in a 51mm offset for their T-R10 model, and a 57mm offset for their T-S5 model.  Both of those come in at 16.8 lbs., which is less than the 18.0 lbs. minimum weight for a 17" wheel in CMC.  They could be made to work by welding spacers on the back of the wheel face, but if I was going to do that, I'd just buy a set of the Enkei RPF1s and save over $700 for a set of four... ...even after the contingency.

When you head over to TrackDayTire.com and create an account using the same email as you did for the HPDE Award Claim, you should see a credit in the amount of your award when you check out. If you have any issues, you can contact TrackDayTIre and they can assist

Hey Aldrin, any word on the Raybestos contingency?  It's been a fantastic program, perhaps the best yet.  Hate to see it go away.

Let us know.....

Aldrin, the SE30 class is not showing up in the Race Class drop down for SE30. Are we just missing this somewhere?
