Comp. School on East Coast - only once a year?

I just did the VIR event last week and know that the comp. school was offered at that event. Is the comp. school available at every event or is it a once a year deal?

Thanks,

Matt

I think it's offered at both VIR events, plus Comp Eval is offerred at most of the other MA events (including Summit Point). Classroom plus drills in the instructor group, final exam is the Sunday points race if you're approved.

We offer the Comp Eval School at all of our events and a Full Competition strategy school at the Rockingham events.

If someone does Comp Eval/School in a particular region, don't they have to complete the 4 provisional races within that region before racing in another region? Of course, the Pocono races might be pretty convenient for someone in York, PA.

Most of the regions accept each other's provisional licensees to allow a racer to complete the requirements in a timely fashion.

YMMV - You might want to check with your regional director before you go for your license.

which course do you run at Pocono?

The Comp School weekend at Pocono will be on the South Course - we will have other events at Pocono on the other courses.

Frank, we already reviewed that for something with our series and the bottom line is that the regional directors for Northeast, MidAtlantic, MidWest, Ohio/Indiana, and Southeast agreed that a provisional license in one region would be honored in the other. I think they were going to talk to Florida, but didn't get around to it.

Thanks, Dan. That's good news, plus makes it a lot easier for a rookie to meet Nationals eligibility. May have to take a second look at the vacation schedule.
