johnbasf
Someone told me that the exhaust HAS to exit the car behind the driver? I looked in the CCR and it said nothing about this. Any help on this??
onralz
John. Just a personal preference, not a rule. I like the exhaust out the sides. I had turn downs that were lower than my axles and right in front of them and I would start getting exhaust into the car as the race went on in my AGS car. I noticed it more in braking and some turns. I went to a side exhaust and haven't noticed the exhaust or odor of exhaust in the car since. I would think having exhaust even farther up would be an even bigger issue unless you were going to run it out the side but I would still be aware of it the first time you went out. Again, just my opinion and perspective. Mark
JWL
John- I can't find anything on this either, but I think you should be careful with the fume issue as it can be deadly. -JWL
racercosmo
I know John doesn't like the comparisons, but the GCR states that exhaust must exit behind the driver. That is something to think about if you ever feel like running with that OSB.
JWL
Eh, as long as we're on the good end of the comparison I don't mind. With that piece of tech, you most likely would want to run it behind the driver just so you'll be kosher for both orgs. -JWL
