Chassis prep -- removing unnecessary small brackets

Couple questions relating to preparing a chassis for TT3 where I do NOT want to take the non-production vehicle penalty. I have carefully read the CCR and ST/TT rules and couldn't find anything allowing these, but I wanted to confirm.

1) is there a rule that allows removal of extra accessory brackets and spot welded studs from the cockpit, such as the little spot welded tabs that interior trim pieces snap into? Some of these are sharp and can snag race shoes / suit.

2) Likewise, can I remove unnecessary brackets (such as heat shield and AC hose mounts) that are spot welded to the trunk floor, firewall, etc. without incurring the "non-production vehicle" penalty?

6.2.1 Chassis and Body Modifications to Production Vehicles
Other than the listed exceptions, every Production vehicle must retain its unmodified:
1) OEM frame rails/rear frame cross beam, and/or Unibody, and Sub-frames/suspension
cross-members (in their OEM locations).
2) Strut/shock towers
3) Inner/inboard side of the fender wells (any non-horizontal aspect)
4) Rocker Panels
5) Transmission tunnel
6) Floor pan
7) Windshield frame location

There is no specific mention of extra accessory brackets and spot welded studs.  I think most Race Directors and TT Directors would not consider those things as part of the Unibody or Floor Pan.  I would think many TT3/ST3 cars have removed much of this stuff.  Just be careful that nobody can claim that you modified the Unibody.
