AZ Coupe Jason
OK took my cousins car to him this weekend in the O.C. and I was driving 63 in what I believed to be a 70 and got a Speeding ticket!!!! He told me I was driving at Dangerous Speeds!! 63 MPH!!!! What ever!! All cause I had a trialer! I think it was because I had AZ plates! Did I say 63 MPH!!! Who gets or gives a ticket at 63??? Death to CHP!!!! Jason
PeanutinCA
Another reason for driving your 944 to race events (not what you were doing here), you get to do an extra 10 mph all the way! Sorry about the ticket, it's a lovely place, come stay a while.
NASA Jim
How can you miss all of those signs that say "trucks, autos with trailers, speed limit 55"? Anything with a trailer is 55 and you have to stay in the right two lanes.
Tim Comeau
What would Ned Flanders do while hauling a trailer w/racecar? Same thing I do...........left lane, head lights on, 75-80mph. Get the hell out of the way! I've got a race to get to! Then really, really watch your mirrors. They can't just materialize out of nowhere. Although with AHnold in office, they might start pulling some of that Terminator crap on us.
uberklasse
that is crazy! was it an open trailer? Maybe the CHP had it out for you if he saw a race car? Just a guess because I have passed CHP's while pulling a boat between 60-65 with no problems
Spec-944#70
I think it was the AZ plates. I pull my trailer with racer at 65-70 MPH and have never had an issue. And that includes Hwy 114 to WS which is known for CHP/WS activity. Sorry for your loss of $$$ Eric
TheWho
Obviously, you haven't heard of the financial woes of CA. Thanks for the donation - AZ' are always welcome.
