BA
Like the title says...... I need some help! Can someone direct me to a "how to" on this subject? Have searched several sites and made numerous Google searches to no avail..... I'm plumbing an oil cooler, remote filter, thermostat, and Accusump into my B16 powered CRX, and am unsure how tight the fittings should be and are washers or gaskets needed? Thanks for any help guys! ~Brian
trackboss
If its typical 37* AN fittings they don't need much. The cone is what seals the fittings not the threads. Just snug them up by hand. No washers, sealers, tape, etc.
white_2kgt
When you push the hose into the cone put some anti-siese on the hose then screw the nut down on the hose to seal it. When you goto connect the fittings put a small amount of oil on the fitting to help it seal better, other than that use no gaskets or RTV. Also before you goto put the nut on the hose mark how deep you inserted the hose and then make sure it doesn't back out more than 1/8" as you tighten it down. Eric J.
Are you using braided hose or the push-on type? Maybe if you have specific questions they can be addressed more directly.
