Chino 240Z Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 Just purchased 240Z already set up. It was running in Unlimited previously. We are just doing some clean up work inorder to prepare for a starting point in HPDE. I think we will be checking out the Willowsprings day coming up to see what we are in for. Thanks for the forum! Will be asking some questions in time. Regards, Craig
GT4Point6 Posted May 2, 2003 Posted May 2, 2003 If you’re interested in HPDE to start with, then there are no "classes", just groups based on experience. Start with HPDE 1, and then work your way up to HPDE 4, which is just like racing with a less strict passing zones. There are a few specific rules for HPDE like verts have to have a roll bar but other than functioning brakes, seat belts and an approved helmet, it’s easy to get on track. Here is a link to the HPDE requirements. http://www.nasaproracing.com/hpde/index.html#requirements No contact is allowed and the runs are not timed. Have FUN, be willing to take constructive criticism and learn your limits as well as your cars all of which will make you a better driver on and off the track. Most of all, have fun
