CWeber Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Yes indeed.. after much turmoil I've decided it is best for me to sell my 993. I won't be going to the track for a while either. I need to do other things in life for a while so perhaps I'll come back to another 993 at a later date. ..but for now I have to be happy with the 10 years I've owned my beautiful 993 since new. So anyway, maybe someone wanted to get their spouse or significant other into the Autocross or DE scene but they can't drive a stick? I have the perfect answer/solution for you with my nicely set up 993 Tip. - Custom H&R/Roock Suspension - TRG front and rear sway bars - ERP front monoballs strut tops (to allow more negative camber) - front Strut brace (I forget which brand, sorry) - Gert's front protection bar - Big Red brake upgrade with custom SLOTTED front 328mm race rotor's w/almuminum hats (only set in existance as far as I know) - currently pagid yellow in front and pagid black in back, I will supply an extra set of brand new EBC Yellowstuff brake pads that are not squeeky like pagids and can be street driven in more comfort. - TechArt front air ducts (with ducting to front brake backs) including the TechArt fog lights - 996 3 spoke steering wheel and airbag that has been custom recovered in alcantera with a red stripe. - Higer end Kenwood HU *(I forget the model #) with Sirus Sat Radio -- Sat radio box fits perfectly in the spot where the optional factory amp goes and the setup will be included but the new owner will have to pay for Sirius Service on their own of course - Halon fire extinguisher with custom bracket mounted on passenger side. - Custom black/red Ultrashield race seats with Simpson 6 point cam (quick release) belts on driver and passenger side. IO-Port racing seat back brace for driver side (passenger side on slider so no brace used on that side) Including brey krauss brackets so that the stock seat belts are still there as well. - Guards red painted to match DAS BAR installed (yes, that's where the simpson belts are attached). - Wheels are MY02 Carrera 5 spokes (OEM and not replica). The tires on them are A048 225 40 18s and 265 35 18s that are well worn but still have some autocross or DE life left in them (not enough tread for rainy day driving though) ...and since there isn't as much life left on them I can include a new pair of DSSRs I have (well, the 2 front tires are brand new never mounted and the 2 back tires have 2 DEs on them so almost new). - Optima battery I'm the original owner. The car has approximately 42K miles on it. It currently has Super Blue brake fluid in it that was completely flushed 2 months ago. If someone wanted to go for autocross or beginner/novice DE, it would be just fine as is but for Intermediate and above I'd suggest at least bleeding the brakes. There are a couple of small issues to address with the car. I can get into details with anyone seriously interested. As the car sits with all the goodies (Oh, i can provide original leather seats to go with the car as well if the new owner so desires and has the means to pick up the seats seperately since I can't fit them inside the car). Anyway, AS the car sits, I'd like to see $42K It does NOT see winter weather conditions and never has. I currently have it OFF insurance but for someone who is a serious buyer, I can put it back on insurance for test drive, etc. Right now I only have comprehensive insurance on it but no liability since I'm not driving it. Guards red - factory options include stainless steel brushed aluminum door sills, motor sound package and trip computer (OBC). Most recent HUGE expense was the Immobilizer alarm control box crapped out and was replaced. Alarm works just fine now. I've been in turmoil over parting with my car for a long time now and I've made the decision that it is best for me to just sell it right now based on where I am in my life right now. I hope to see someone else buy it and enjoy it as much as I have over the years (BTW: My car got FTD and 1st place one year in my local region's autocross series for the season... don't think a Tip is a slouch at the autocross - its more about the driver skill and how the car is set up!!!) Oh, if someone wanted to make it a cushy street car again, I can also supply a factory original suspension (including sway bars) in the deal. So put factory suspension and seats back in the car and you have a very comfy street cruiser again and can sell off the performance parts if you desire. I have no interest in parting out the car so this is a FS as is deal. Thanks for everyone's interest. -Chris Quote
