88 Camaro - searching for a car I once to owned

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I am looking for the 1988 Camaro I purchased new but had to sell when my company transferred me overseas. I would like to locate this car, and if possible, buy it from the current owner. The last record of a title is in Pennsylvania.

I feel it is likely being used as a racecar considering its current age. I will pay the first person that locates this car and provides me with a picture of the VIN number, a few pictures of the current condition of the car, and the contact information of the current owner $500. The VIN number is 1G1FP21F4JL149816. Regardless of the condition of the car, I will come take a look at it as I seriously would like to own it again.

The car was delivered with a white exterior and black interior, though it may have been repainted for racing. It came with a 305 engine with fuel injection, a 5-speed transmission and disc brakes. The body is a coupe, i.e. no removable roof panels or sunroof, etc..

If you know how to trace the car with the VIN#, that may make locating it easier. Perhaps carrying this VIN number (1G1FP21F4JL149816) with you and checking the VIN on every 88 Camaro you see at events you attend, and every white 88 Camaro you know of still on the street, could help you locate my car.

I got a hint that my car may be one that was painted a combination of white and blue as in the attached picture. I hope this helps in recognizing my car.1988Camaro-whiteblue.png.149bce4b661d13f0a603e81a198713ab.png
