D Algozine Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Congratulations to Brian Groth for winning the Midwest championship, again. He was at the top of the charts for every event. Other than a few mechanical issues, he was the car to beat all year. Great job. I also want to thank all of the Midwest AI guys. Terrific bunch of competitors to race with. The bar keeps getting raised every year. I had some great races with a lot of good drivers throughout the season. However, I think the best racing all year was the Saturday race at MAM. The lead changes between the top five was phenomenal, and no contact. I was just pissed I wasn't up front joining the excitement. Great year, and no one needs to complete any upgrades in the off season. Your cars are just fine, leave them alone Quote
Flying Fred Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I second that Dave, but you ran one hell of a race Sunday! I swore you had a tow hook on my car during qualifying. There was a lot made about the weather, but personally I found it to be a great weekend. Everyone seemed in good spirits and we had a lot of fun. Quote
RichardC Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Congrats to Brian and everyone else for that matter, it's been another great year of racing but it's the people that make all the difference. Well done everyone. Richard. Quote
onralz Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Congrats Brian! To everyone out there in AI and all who I was able to spend time with this year, thank you and I'll see you next year same car, same place. Fixed motor though. I dynoed it and found the problems. Quote
bmrracing Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Congrats to Brian for another great season, talk about consistancy! Also congrats to all the Midwest AI and AIX racers on a fun filled and safe season. Dave did you hook a tow rope to Freds car? Quote

That wasn't a tow hook, that was a "loose wire" hanging from Freds car, that got tangled up in my front tow hook. You think NASCAR is the only group that uses "bump draft'in"? Sorry about smearing the paint on your rear bumper, Fred. Quote

Sorry about smearing the paint on your rear bumper, Fred. Well, knowing my car, it probably WAS a loose wire. LOL! Hey, it was really cool running with you Dave. I was actually hoping you were going to hold me off longer during Sunday's race, but maybe you were looking for that wire again??? Quote
brian-groth Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Thanks guys, I appreciate the well wish's. It was a privilage to race with all you this year, I had a blast. Hopefully next year will be even better. Brian Quote
