BMW2ner Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I'm selling this for my dad Its a 1984 Porsche 944 NA. Hes selling because he got into auto-x and I talked him into a bmw, so this is no longer being used for anything. It was only in 4 auto-x events. For those interested this is not the expensive to work on turbo model, its also more reliable, and parts are decently priced. The turbo engines have alot of problems, thats why he purchased the NA for auto-x. The good points of the car: New Bosch alternatorNew rear shocksNew battery The bad points: Dash is cracked, but previous owner covered it with a carpet coverTach does not work ( I have a feeling its disconected )Steering a little loose, drives fineThe paint is a 5 footer, any closer you can see its not an amazing job (small runs in 2 places)Pass. windows switch is bad, we have been swapping the drivers switch back and forth Some features are: Electric sunroof/moon roof (whatever one is not glass, I dont know the difference)Power windowsPower hatch releaseWidebodyFront bumper pads shavedRear bumper pads shavedtail light filler panelBody and frame very solidNever been wrecked to my knowledge Other things to know: When we got the car it was overheating, so we had it looked at it turned out that the previous owner had installed an alram. For whatever reason his wiring, made it so the fan would not kick in. Anyway that was fixed, but they mechanic also disconected the AC for more power. I believe that the AC worked before that point ( 99% sure ). Its a very fun and nimble car, its a blast to drive, and the looks you get in a yellow Porsche are great too The car comes with the silver wheels shown, but the black wheels will also be available. Also there is a strut tower bar for it that you may also want with the car. Those would be between my dad and you if you guys wanted those He is asking $2800 obo PS for those of you that saw the cars brakes lock up at the Honeywell, the problem was a blown brake line. That has since been replaced and refilled with DOT4 brake fluid. Quote
