944 Swede Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 What are the awards for the SW Championship? Quote
944-Spec#94 Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 What are the awards for the SW Championship? Not sure yet. We still have over month to come up with something! You should plan on making it to PIR next month (Dec, 9,10th). Should be great fun. Quote
944 Swede Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 The biggest championship in 944 racing right now and nothing is finalized? Is it at least recognized by TOYO as a championship with 500 Toyo bucks for First place etc? Maybe the Directors can get some assistance form Ken in NorCal who routinely award Cash prizes... Just a thought Quote

Tim Comeau Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Mikael, I'm sure I showed you the gift certificates from 1st American Racing Products for the podium finishers in the Southwest Title Chase. 1st = $300 2nd = $200 3rd = $100 This is some added icing on the cake to have all drivers attend the final round of this series in Phoenix in December. 944 Swede Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 If you say so Tim. Do you know if TOYO recognizes this as a championship? My tire budget kinda flew out the window this season... Quote

No Toyo only recognizes the regional championships. Even then a certain minimum number of events needs to have 5 starters. Quote
Tim Comeau Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Mikael, I flashed the cert's after our dinner with Ryan. I'll run the idea of extra tire rewards past our fantastic TOYO TIRES rep, Bryan Shackelford. Quote
