rd7839 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I'm putting in my harness tonight and was wondering about the lapbelts. Is drilling thru the floor strong enough? The sheetmetal seems kind of thin, however , I will be using a piece of steel about 4"x8" x 1/8" underneath to help prevent pull thru, but is this enough? How has every body else done it? Again, any pics would be very helpful. Thanks for everybody's help, and can't wait till we meet at the track! Ron Quote
Chuck T. Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 on outside i used stock mounts. on the inside i drilled through where there is a brace behind the tunnel. for the inside and anti sub i used large fender washers from home depot. Chuck Quote
944-Spec#94 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 On the lap mounts I used both stock holes. On the early cars (83-85) and 924S there are two holes to for the stock belts. The late cars the don't have the tunnel mount so you need to drill through the tunnel and back it up with large washers. Sub belts are mounted to the floor, but backed up with large plates. Quote
