Ron Carroll Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 REC Motorsports showed that they are a team to beat in the E2 class at the NASA 25 Hours of Thunder Hill. Team Driver Donna Gilio and the newly crowned NASA Nor Cal H4 season Champion Tommy Lo teamed up to drive the 3 hour enduro at Thunder Hill on Sunday November 12th. Tommy got the call to start the race and after starting last in E2 was in the E2 class lead by lap 3, by the end of his stint he had lapped the entire E2 class. Donna got into the car next and was able to hold the lead. Donna preceded to lap the E2 class again and by the end of the race the Blue REC Motorsports Acura Integra won E2 by over 2 1/2 laps and finished 3rd over all. Not a bad outing for Team REC Motorsports first NASA endurance race. Both drivers did a great job driving a smart clean race. Earlier in the weekend the rest of the team drivers, Marc Kirberg, Mike Courtney and Tommy Olivier got there first chance to drive the REC Motorsports integra and all were happy with the car and said that it is ready to compete in the 25 Hours of Thunder Hill. REC Motorsports would like to thank our sponsors for there support, AIM tires and Ron Cotez for all of his input and help getting us to this point, Hinds Custom Machine, Whitefield Racing, Twin Cam Motorsports, Alpine Signs ,Wayne Palmer from National Note, DMS North America and Palisades Properties.
