TT Tire width question?

I was reading the rules and it states you can get a credit for a smaller tire, for TTA they only allow a 295 without assessing points. Is that an average or max?

 

Say I run a 275 up front and a 315 in the rear the average is 295

from another guy that gets shafted by staggered tire sizes, the answer is no

 

they'll look at whatever tire you're using thats biggest (even if its only 1 tire) and use that to assess your tire points

 

so run 295s all around if the car will be balanced
