JWL
Folks- We're pleased to announce a new member benefit courtesy of Konig Wheels. NASA members can purchase up to 10 wheels in selected styles and offsets at super low prices by participating in Konig's new NASA-specific sponsorship program. You can find more information by visiting the main http://www.nasaproracing.com page and or heading to http://nasaracing.net/NASA_KONIG.doc to see the program details. Many thanks to Scott Weiss at Konig and Chris Cobetto from NASA-Mid Atlantic for putting this together for us. -JWL John Lindsey NASA Chief Divisional Director *Important edit-the link for the program has been changed to http://nasaracing.net/NASA_KONIG.doc from the old link to make the form easier to fill in. Members Shawn M.
Isnt this the same thing we tried last year?? I ended up buying a set from Discount tire. JWL
Shawn- Thanks for fixing the link. My bad. The program is similar to the one we had before that didn't go so well, but we worked with Konig to fix the problems encountered with the previous deal. Our hope is that this deal makes up for the bad feelings from the last one and delivers a tangible benefit to everyone involved. -JWL
Lemming
Wish I could participate since I need some wheels, but none of those will fit a Porsche
IS300
Man That's a great program, but it is too bad that the wheels are not offered in larger sizes. Some of those would look nice on my Lexus. Chris
Mr PS
Nice! But no love for 5x120 pattern...
Pat L.
That will definitely benefit some NASA folks, but I don't understand the overall lack of available sizes. Guess they're definitely catering to a certain type of NASA participant.
warrtalon
Yeah, nothing over 17", and the 17s are no bigger than the _stock_ size on the Evo/STi. That's strange...
racercosmo
And no 5 lug 15" wheels.
National Staff Greg G. Posted February 23, 2007 National Staff Share Posted February 23, 2007 No joy for me either--need 17x8 or 17x8.5 in 5x100's
berny2435
No joy for me either--need 17x8 or 17x8.5 in 5x100's Not going to get much HC joy either if they can't provide a 15x7.5 or 15x8 to compete with Rota and 949 racing.. . I don't compete so I guess the deal doesn't apply to me anyways.. .
bpanther
I don't compete so I guess the deal doesn't apply to me anyways.. . Dude.... the offer is open to all NASA members. HPDE, TT, W2W - it doesn't matter. I think that's a pretty sweet deal.
Markus
Well - it doesn't help me either (only 14x7's they have are wrong bolt pattern). BUT - I have to say, it would be hard to find one rim vendor that could satisfy everyone from a 13" Honda Challenge H5 rim to an 18" GTS rim and all the various sizes in between. So while this doesn't help me personally, I still applaud NASA for putting together this deal! This is great and I hope that partnerships like this continue. Thanks! - Mark
CROSSFIRE
NIX for me as well. No 18x8 & 18x8.5 w/ 5/112 pattern
IndyWRX1
Works for me 17x7.5 5x100 but I need to find the offset. Minimum I can use is +
