Zee
Anybody racing a Volvo 740? I need a lead on brake pads suitable for HPDE/tract day use. All I can find is EBC "Greenstuff", which are not recommended for track. Porterfield, Hawk, Ferodo, Mintex, etc. don't seem to make a race application for the 740, just the 140/240 series. What pads can I use? Have a 1989 Volvo 740 Turbo Sedan, w/ABS. I beleive the "big brkae" version. Will have to check to see if Girling or Bendix. Ultimate Altima
EBC's are fine, but see if you can get some yellowstuff instead of greenstuff.
Zee
EBC's are fine, but see if you can get some yellowstuff instead of greenstuff. Thanks. I have quit running this Volvo for now, as I bought a former SCCA ITB Ford Escort. In the meantime, I learned my Volvo 740tic has the Girling calipers, for which nobody makes a track or competiton pad. For the Bendix caliper, some folks like Carbotech and Porterfield make things. Each said they can custom make a set for the Girling calipers at $140 a set.
