shotgunslade
In their catalogue for last year, G-Force listed PBI-Kevlar as a material for their custom racing suits. I believe that they even had a standard size suit, the 535 model, which used this material. The promotional literature espoused the superiority of this material, greater breathbility and higher SPI rating that normal Nomex. This year, PBI-Kevlar is not to be found. Sent an email to G-Force and they say they don't offer it. Does anyone know what the story is on this? Is PBI-Kevlar a good racing suit material. If so, who makes a suit of this material? Google draws a blank. Thanks.
marshallmosty
PBI is just another fire resistant material, like nomex. Other than that, I really don't know if it makes the suit "better".

FlyingDog
Is it a coated material? I know a lot of people are shying away from coated materials because the fire resistance cannot be known from just looking at the material.
