bryancohn Posted January 10, 2008 Share Posted January 10, 2008 I have owned a HANS since August 2000, and as such mine was not SFI certified. My helmet expired this year so I bought a new one and had to upgrade to the new tethers/anchors. The tethers on my HANS were original up to March of this year! With the intro of the 38.1 rule I called HANS to ask what if anything could be done. Long story short, they offer a certification program for older models like mine. The cost? $15.
