EFisher12 Posted July 1, 2004 Share Posted July 1, 2004 It is almost too painful to recount...!! We had a fast race car/set up and most likely would have been a top 5 car for sure. I took a very hard lick while attempting to run up through the field early on. We were stacked up pretty tight through the esses and I checked up for some slow traffic, the 3 GTS drivers behind me didn't.....I got turned sideways and then was hit in the front right area at a pretty high rate of speed. The Panoz was pretty tore up so IMSA decided to call it a day for me. I of course was ready to continue on foot if they would have let me. Overall a great experience, the Panoz GTS is quite a car. To be a part of the American Lemans Weekend was a real pleasure. Stay tuned... Road Atlanta is next... I have some unfinished business to take care of.
