Renntag
I know this doesnt help you locally, but here in the mid-atlantic region we see open trailers for sale regularly for 1500-2400$. If you dont mind driving 8-10 hours, you might greatly increase your options. Similarly NEW trailers can be had in your price range. It shouldnt be difficult to find something. King Matt
See my post below on the 18-foot Carson. I'm about 8 hours from MAM, but if you are going to the NASA MIdwest banquet, I could deliver it there. edit: I thought NE was Nebraska. Disegard, unless you're up for a trip to Chicago. karluver
Thank you guys, every time I am looking to buy something locally, there is none for sale. Time constraints force mr to buy locally.

Honda-Junky
I have a 2004 16' with a wooden deck and dovetail. Its in good shape with extended ramps, electric brakes, new light kit. Pulls great. Easy to tow behind a smaller vehicle. One of the axles started making a noise, but I drove it to and from Massachusetts (from Richmond) anyways and never had a problem. Even if you had to replace the axle, it would be pretty cheap. $1500 or best offer. you can respond on here or email me at [email protected] for more info. I will deliver it for $1.20/Mile. Thanks for the interest.
