Paul H22A4
Can these circled objects be removed for seat installation? I'm attempting to get a Momo Cup Gt seat with steel side mounts into my 1997 Prelude future racecar. If not, any suggestions on how to safey secure this seat? civicrr
Are you asking if it is legal to remove those to install seats? If so, the answer is yes, they can be legally removed for purpose of seat install. Things to note about removing them are: The floor pan will be pretty darn flexible without them. You don't want to just install the seatmounts to the floorpan. They will most likely rip out when you need them. Try to tie in whatever you fab up to mount the sidemounts into the siderail & the tranny tunnel. Better yet, tie into the cage.
Paul H22A4
Looks like I'll keep those in then. Thanks for the advice Civic. If possible, can you guys post some pictures of your seat installed in your racecar? I'm trying to get more ideas. I'll more than likely have to fab up something. badboypolar
For my OMP seat I used a Sparco slide rail with a Tenzo-R mount bracket. It works out quite well. You have to drill 2 new holes but it bolts up stock and doesn't budge.
