AMW #69 Car sold to Mike Liera

Mike Liera has just bought the AMW #69 spec car. We are now building a second Spec Car, which will be pretty much a twin to the 69 car. White, same engine plan, same suspension etc etc etc...So it looks like Tim now has another car and a new driver in the series, and will be seing AMW again pretty soon as well.

Say what!!!! When will the new car be ready? You guys still coming to Laguna in August?

Yes! We are still going to Laguna It should be a blast. David still has two events left on the rental contract, and the terms of sale to Mike Liera were that Dave be able to use the last two sessions.

 

The new car will be put on one of the lifts this afternoon hopefully. Neal Wright has taken care of the rough striping of glue and interior, completely bare, just perfect to start with. The first thing to get done will be the bottom of the entire car. Suspension, brake and fuel lines, bushings, hardware, torsion bars, brakes etc etc...then the engine will be built. The engine will follow the same plan as the #69 car, but seeing a few places that can be improved on ( while building the engtine for the #69 car), hopefully a smoother, harder pulling engine will be the result.

 

I want to keep the color the same as the #69, since Mike Liera is keeping that car in the camp, we will still have "twins" out there at teh events

 

Neal wants to have a full custom roll cage installed, Following the lines of the interior closer thatn the bolt ins.
